Storage Tips

Bacteria cannot live in honey and because it will not spoil, it needs no refrigeration. For best results, keep honey in a dry place at room temperature.

Honey begins to crystallize soon after packaging due to the sugar levels the nector gathered in our area.

You can easily reliquefy by placing the container in hot (but not boiling) water or in an oven set no higher than 140 degrees. However, please be careful not to overheat the honey as it destroys all of the honey's nutritional value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does honey spoil?

No. Honey may crystallize over time, but placing the bottle in warm water for a period of time should liquefy it again.

Why is your honey ‘cloudy’?

It is because we filter our honey and not pasturize it, keeping all of these things in tact will give raw honey its natural opaque or “cloudy” appearance.

Is honey gluten free?

Honey is naturally free of gluten. Honey is made from the nectar of various flowers and does not have any gluten in it. Gluten is found in wheat, barley, rye, or oats.

Does honey contain any allergens?

Honey is naturally free of allergens.

How do I find out more info on honey?

More information about honey can be found at the National Honey Board.
